The Osmosis family is excited to bring you the first edition of our latest undertaking: Osmosis Records. We've been quietly working on this release for the better part of a year and are very excited to share it with you. It contains tracks made by some local producers here in Portland who have been part of the Osmosis crew and extended network since the very beginning, as well as tracks by some artists from the wider community who have played our events.

This comp features Priori, xphresh (Ben Bondy & Special Guest DJ), phorum, wav4ms, Carly Barton, mor-f, and muck (DJ Eft).

Side A opens with “Colossi” (105bpm), a mid-tempo dancefloor chugger you can feel in the chest. It moves next into “Back Alley” (130bpm), an intricately percussive, dark, deep-sea exploration for the club. The side closes with “Burning Sand” (90bpm), a hypnotic, sensuous sandwalk across star-strewn deserts.

Side B takes a more exploratory, downtempo direction. It opens with “Fuul” (125 bpm), a sub-bass-heavy, dubwise mind-bender. Next comes “Belladonna” (100bpm), a spaced-out, gong-laden journey reminiscent of gamelan for the space age. The side closes with “Ugamelon Spirit” (80 bpm), which weds spacious, dancefloor percussion with a wood-flute ostinato straight off your favorite New Age tape.
