She journeyed to Ghana & Ethiopia to find these very special tracks. Her mission; to explore the variety of vintage sounds & re-invoke the spirit that emerged from the first revolutionary era in Africa, where independence, progress, and the elevation of all brothers & sisters reigned supreme...to an uplifting, funky, and deeply soul-felt soundtrack. Ethio-jazz, highlife, gospel, African polyrhythms, and psychedelic sounds grace this release.
'Lost Tracks Records' has some fabulous releases, international live and club events, and collaborations in store.
As one of the industry's few Black, female record label owners - particularly in these genres - this is a voice that needs to be heard, and there are ambitious plans to do just that.
