The "Moderna SonorizzazionI" series by Quattro Bambole Music continues its investigation of the infinite expressive possibilities of instrumental hip-hop, recognizing it as the most contemporary form of library music. After the first two chapters - signed by Biga and JayBee Vibes - the third volume of the series, "Sport & Calcio", features the Roman producer Delphi as protagonist.
A key figure on the Italian electronic export scene and known for his international successes with the duo Tiger & Woods, Delphi boasts a long career of musical exploration across genres: from house to disco, up to instrumental hip-hop. This last segment was explored in depth with the beat-tapes published by Spalato Wyale and through the long collaboration with the magazine Ultimo Uomo and its series of podcasts, for which Delphi curates musical themes and identities.
With a subtitle that is already a declaration of intent – ​​Tales of a boy from Rome, inspired by a deep passion for football and sports, who grew up in the stands of the “Stadio Olimpico” – “Sport & Calcio” is an instrumental fresco in which football and sport become narrative pretexts to evoke images, memories and suggestions. The twelve tracks that make up the album are real cinematic sketches, in which Delphi combines raw beats, nostalgic loops, sampledelia and a narrative that evokes Sundays with the family, matches on the street as well as in the stadium, and the warmth of crowded stands.
